Tomorrow I’m going to Trader Joe’s ... my get fat headquarters. My list is vegan ice cream, brownie cookie crisps and wine. I doubt I can grab just those things and go, Trader Joe’s will run about 150 bucks by the time I’m done.

My go-to for coffee, almond milk, Shiraz wine to make Sangria with (added to cranberry juice and citrus juices), Power Organic berry juice, frozen falafels, cooked black eyed peas, garlic in frozen cubes, lemon & mire poix to make bean salad, and so much more!

Wine is the hardest item to determine if or not vegan as only a few countries put it on the label, Spain being one. On my trip there this week a wonderful emplyeee went and got me a list... I have found that not all the employees know about the list... got two red and two white... not tried any yet as Corona is also vegan

TJ's is the only place I know where you can get perfectly drinkable wine - in a glass bottle and with a cork no less - for $2.99.
@TerriCity Most beer and wine are filtered using Isinglass which is derived from fish bladders. It’s a very old method, Guinness recently changed and is now vegan. It can be very hard to determine what products have this as it’s not put in the labeling. Trader Joe’s has a list. The wines I recently purchased are vegan and still in the $5 to $7 range. If you google “Isinglass” you will see how it’s used and in what products from cologne to beer.
I am headed to the TJ's in Bellingham tomorrow. It is a monthly excursion. I have learned, though, to avoid weekends. That's when all the Canadians from the Vancouver area invade the store.

I was disappointed in Trader Joes when they opened here in New Orleans. Its really small and never has much.
