Hi Everyone! Would like to get opinions on using vegan protein supplements. I am very much interested in body building. I feel like after working out my muscles do not recover as fast as it used to since switching to veganism. I searched on Amazon and found some vegan protein powder. I still don't know which one to buy. Thoughts? Opinions?
I don't really care for them. They tend to be too salty or too bland. I just eat plants that look like plants. ????
Lol, I got one, should be arriving tomorrow. I hope it will be good based on online review
I discovered a new high protein Silk milk. It is a pea protein mix and comes in 3 flavors. It also has added calcium and is very thick. It's priced about the same as regular milk. I find a glass of this milk and a Cliff bar after a workout really helps.
Thanks for your comment. Please could you share a picture of this silk milk?
@obis Here is a link to the products. [silk.com]
@JackPedigo thanks a lot!
@obis I've sort of become addicted to the stuff. It is more like milk than any of the other non-milk products. It is really thick (but needs to be shaken). I usually buy several and freeze the extras.
Legumes, also known as beans have plenty of protein. Broccoli, asparagus, seeds, nuts, all have protien. Some beans are soy, endame, lentils, peas, peanuts areactually a bean. Seeds such as pumpkin & sunflower, rape seed, all are protein rich. Then there are nuts all of which are protein sources. The powders will list the ingredients. Some may have animal products as a protein source.
Thanks for the link!
