I, for one, had to be extroverted when I worked. I had to interact with people a lot. And I managed it. And, that was all I managed. It drained me so much that nothing else was possible. So if I were to pretend to be extroverted I would have to pay for it in energy. So, I can't really see how that would make me happier.

One year sober today! We were told not to date the first year and I should have listened.

Yep, been there, done that. Nobody needs to know I have depression and anxiety on the first date. So yes, I have a mental problem but in my mind it only enhances my personality lol. No one has mentioned what the law says about legal names and perhaps things have changed. I knew a couple who wanted him to take her name. They had to go through the court and have him change it through all the legal rigamarole. As I remember I merely started using his name. Boom it was my last name. I think it's always been unfair that women have to take his name. It's like we haven't our own names. We have our father's and then our husband's name. I'm glad things have changed. When my divorce went through the courts I asked to have my name back and the judge granted it. Arrrr. Anyway I've been too apathetic to get it changed with all the people, businesses you have to inform. My maiden name was difficult for people to get thier brains around so I thought when I got married I would have an easier name but people still get it wrong. Lol. When I was young it was very romantic to take your husband's name. Girls would pair their name with their crushes on their notebooks.
