It's a matter of we're still out there being responsible , taking on work , in spite of being sick , in pain , disabled . Being in a scooter , wheelchair , or rollator and continuing to handle all of life's problems is not a sign of weakness , it's a sign of strength . He was more intelligent and mature than the older men I'd dated . He didn't like hanging out with the flighty , less educated , less intelligent younger women . I complained , and after multiple office visits , he finally prescribed a milder diuretic . I had asked that when he turned in the milder one , that he stop the pharmacy from continuing the stronger one , but he didn't do that . I wound up taking both the stronger and weaker prescriptions together .
