Lancer replies on Nov 18, 2017:
It's a lot more complex than that. You've stated the perfect meaning and purpose of life for an individual. However I (although i didn't make it clear) was asking for the objective meaning and purpose of life. One relies on individual decisions and the other does not.

Although it is true that the pen is mightier than the sword, at least that's how the quote goes. I think that as a weapon, it is not so much that what we write is a weapon, it is what we say. A man with huge amounts of charisma and intelligence (like Hitler) managed to unite his nation and improve it for all citizens. Also please don't counter with something regarding WW2. A lot of the history regarding WW2 is classified. we only have 40% of the history from that era at best. So none of us can really say what happened during WW2 except for that it definitely happened.

Lancer replies on Nov 18, 2017:
I don't really understand that last part. However the answer I was mainly discussing was that the mind is the software and the body is the hardware. We choose to move are arms and legs, our bodies are weapons. Why else would we need strong knuckles, powerful upper arms and other evolutionary traits which can be utilized as weapons. Also I personally think that most weapons are just tools. They were designed to kill however they can be used to protect without having to fire a single shot. A couple months ago in texas there was a student who took out a machete and began killing people. Another student who had a legal concealed weapon licence took out his pistol and pointed it straight at the villain. The guy dropped his machete and lay on the floor. Although 2 people died from a MANIAC and not a GUN. which is why the gun debate is trash since it's not the guns that are a problem it's the people. Guns are a deterrent against the bad people in the world. They are our message that we the law abiding good people will not let you slaughter us because you want to, it's similar to action reaction principle. If you want to kill me then I will try to kill you. Anyway, have a nice day. I'm not trying to insult or make you feel uncomfortable. I just got side tracked in replying to your comment :)

I am glad to hear that. I don't think violence is good in any way and always prefer open communication an honesty. But I learned the hard way that this philosophy is not universal nor is it applicable to the majority of people. Back in primary school my older sister was being bullied by 3 boys in her class. They were racist against her because she and I are half chinese. I walked up to their leader, who was a foot taller than me and 3 years older than me. I asked him to stop, he wouldn't, I ran to ask a teacher for help but she replied "I'm on break". So I returned back to see them shoving my sister to the ground. I punched the first in the back of the head, I kicked the second and the third cracked his head whilst running away by tripping down the stairs. I helped my sister to her class and told the teacher what happened. As far as the teacher was concerned, she thought I bullied 3 upper clansmen. My dad was called, the women explained the situation and said "He obviously bullied the 3 defenseless boys for no reason" and my dad didn't respond. He moved past the woman, knelt down to me and asked for my side of the story. I told him the truth and he said "I'm glad someone here has a brain and some integrity" right in front of the female principal and female teacher (who tole me she was on break). He then threatened legal action against the school for negligence which is when they apologized and the female teacher still didn't admit she was wrong in any way. That's the world I came from. middle to upper class Australia and I still had to deal with bad people in one of the best primary schools in my area.

My school in Australia used to have a .223 rifle range and a shooting club, the schools used to compete and it was a fun competitive sport. Communication is only possible between 2 intelligent organisms. This is earth, How many of the hundreds of languages in the world and all of history do you speak? We can't always talk our way out of conflict. My uncle went for a jog in the afternoon and never made it back home to his family. He was held up at gunpoint, he didn't have any money on him so the robber shot him and stole his running shoes. How did communication go in that situation? Cause I guarantee that out of all the methods of communication used on earth, only one method is universally understood. The languages of armed conflict, an exchange of visually derived body language and stances. Weapons aimed at each other. In this communication there are only 2 types, that of the person who wants to live and that of the victim who doesn't.

Lancer replies on Nov 17, 2017:
That is good but there is still room for improvement. It is true that we humans have free will. However our overall choices have very similar outcomes according to the meaning and purpose of life. Whatever we do results in increasing the rate of energy transfer and chemical reactions. It is not that we lack free will, it's that no matter what choices we make we serve the meaning and purpose of life. I'm quite happy that you are starting to understand it since you are 1 of 3 people I know of who are approaching a high level of understanding the meaning and purpose of life. Your conclusion (ironically) is the first conclusion I came to during my research. I realized later on that it was actually just a distraction. The real meaning and purpose of life is much closer than you think however it is a difficult thing to find. I commend you on your effort since you have put more into finding the meaning and purpose of life than almost everyone on Earth. Good job. If you want to truly understand the meaning and purpose of life there are a few pieces of information you will need, I'd refer to them as "assumptions" or "conditions". They are the conditions required for the meaning and purpose of life to be true within our universes' context.

The fact of the matter is, we are hard wired to increase the amount of suffering we give and receive. Also fun fact about peace (From another one of my theories). Peace is not achievable. By definition peace is a time when there is no war, however on the opposite side, War is defined as a time when 2 or more organisations engage in hostile warfare, i.e. a time without peace. So if we did put an end to all war and we had "Peace" it couldn't be called peace without something to compare it to, War. So war and peace are mutually exclusive. You can't have one without the other. Also another fun fact, the reason most people reject the meaning and purpose of life is because it is too logical for them to accept. They assign their personal beliefs that the meaning and purpose of life is something almighty and all powerful, something good and just. However it is really an explanation for all of the things we do and life does. Life can be cruel, and so can the truth. By now I've explained 2 examples and about 12% of the meaning and purpose of life. I would send you the entire document since you seem like a very open minded individual however I haven't edited the meaning and purpose of life in 3 years and I think it's due some servicing. Lets move on to an even better example. War Apart from being a method of partial natural selection (mainly because yes strong people survive war but nowadays it's not the strongest who survive, it's the luckiest or the smartest who survive. Hence why commanders send their subordinates to go risk their lives instead of doing it themselves) it is also a method of population control. Let us list the main variables of war. IN = weapons, misguided humans PROCESS = conflict, destruction of land/property OUTPUT = pain (individual and community), emotional stress, dead humans, destroyed homes, children without parents, parents without children, etc. Now, there is no real gain in war except to perpetuate the ongoing population control of our species. Logic does not persist in war, nor does it have any need to. Human beings will naturally move towards an outcome (either consciously or subconsciously) that will increase their emotional stress. Because that is how we are programmed. One good example is a German SS battalion who were stationed in a town on the Russian border during WW2. The Germans stated clearly that they did not want to have to kill any civilians, even if they knew they were resistance fighters. They stated that if one of their German soldiers was killed by the townspeople that they would randomly select 1 Russian to be executed to compensate. Equal compensation, 1 life for 1 life. Not only did the Germans say this, they also gave the Russian man 1 week of life left after he was selected in order to say goodbye to his family. The Russians didn't afford that luxury to the Germans. Even when the Germans said they would only kill if provoked, the Russians continued to kill them using car bombs, Molotov cocktails, etc.

Lancer replies on Nov 17, 2017:
Thanks guys. Next comes the method of applying the objective meaning and purpose of life to the subjective meaning and purpose of life. Basically how we can apply this to human beings. Now, we will use this post as an example. This post is a stimulus to make you think, it is an input. If I were to contemplate this question then I expend only my energy, if I ask others to contemplate this question they expend their energy. This increases the total expended energy. With an initially small input of energy I have created a process which expends large amounts of mental and physical energy. If you agree with me you have expended minimal energy, if you disagree with me then you expend a larger amount of energy. This is due to a logical response and an emotional response. Human beings expend far larger quantities of energy naturally due to emotionally induced stress. This next part will sound quite absurd. Let's assume the human body is an organic reactor producing multiple chemicals. If your body temperature increases due to stress, you accelerate the consumption of O2 and production of CO2. You are accelerating the rate of energy transfer. Now we introduce an emotional stimulus. For example if a person is killed, their family hears the news and they all cry, their body temperatures increase, they break things or collapse on the ground. These are all forms of accelerated energy transfer. The death of an individual has accelerated the energy transfer rate of multiple individuals. Chemical potential energy becomes sound, kinetic and heat energy, there are also increased yields of chemical compounds from the body. Now the dead individual's body is returned to the earth, decomposes and is returned to the life-cycle of the planet. However the memories people hold of them will still cause them to become emotional and accelerate the rate of energy transfer. Even in death, they are a part of the system which is the meaning and purpose of life.

I broke down the process of finding the answer and I was able to find out what the requirements were for people wanting to find it. Unfortunately the main reasons people don't find it is because they 1) don't have the necessary background knowledge 2) lack the required experiences 3) Mainly the people who want to find the answer just end up committing suicide. Also I'm not judging. I'm comparing. I stated I had 30/100 so why is it wrong to compare my answer to others? Are you in favour of abandoning cross checking answers? Do you not like the sharing of ideas? Are you against progressive sharing of thoughts and free speech? I know you're probably not. I'm just making a point. This is only about 10% of the meaning and purpose of life. There are many more components which I don't have time to talk about at the moment. Now moving on from this as I realize you will think this is insane. I shall provide a basic example. Think of the solar system as a closed system. Once our star burns, what happens to the energy? The answer is trees, micro organisms, bacteria, etc. Organic life absorbs this energy and transfers it into another form, bio-chemical potential energy. It can then transfer this into kinetic energy, thermal energy, acoustic energy, etc. If we were to use an inorganic method of harnessing this energy (without using human technology) we would only have elements storing heat which is dissipated via black-box radiation principles. Hardly capable of storing energy efficiently. We also have another example of proof. Organic catalysts. Enzymes are hundreds of times faster at accelerating reaction rates whilst requiring far less energy inputs. Compared to an inorganic metal catalyst which although they can be used in a wider variety of chemical reactions they also require a higher energy input and provide a slower reaction rate under standard conditions.

These diagrams had the basic input > process > output logical flow sheet structure. It was then that I realized I had been thinking about this from the wrong perspective. My perspective was irrelevant, what I should've done from the beginning was view life using the objective universal perspective. There is absolutely no logic in an individuals actions when viewed subjectively as an individual. But if you view their actions objectively as part of a larger system, as part of a group. You begin to connect the dots so to speak. I had a revelation which I half was grateful for and half wish I hadn't. It dawned on me that the meaning and purpose of life was energy transfer. yes, 2 words, 2 very stupid sounding words. However they encompass everything in the universe. Energy and matter E=mc^2.

It would be like trying to put diesel in a petrol car and wondering why it doesn't drive. Once I got this far I started asking the question "Why" which is a very powerful word. It has done more for the intellectual people of society than anything else. It encourages research to gain future understanding of the universe we live in. Once I started asking why I spent many years (I started when I was 7) trying to think why good or bad things happen to me or other people. Yes I failed. I couldn't find any common variables. Until high school. I studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering (mechanics), Religion/faith/values (mandatory) and attended philosophy club. One day in Engineering my teacher introduces me to process diagrams and sub-system diagrams. Now an important part of this is that process diagrams are analogous to the objective meaning and purpose of life. The sub-system diagrams are analogous to the individuals subjective meaning and purpose of life.

I like your comment. I agree this doesn't stick to the engineering principle rubric however it is a good answer. The first step to comprehending the meaning and purpose of life is a simple problem solving technique. Define your variables, what are you looking for. I defined this question by "Purpose" as what is achieved within the life of an individual "Meaning" what method (physical or mental) is used to accomplish the purpose of life. How do life processes affect the universe as a whole. I then made a distinction between the individual meaning and purpose, and the universal meaning and purpose. I deduced that the main reason people cannot accept the objective universal meaning and purpose of life is because they try to apply it to their personal subjective meaning and purpose of life. This is wrong.

That is actually false. As the universe expands, photons travelling across space also expand. Their wavelength increases however their velocity "c" remains constant. As velocity (c) equals the product of frequency and wavelength, as the wavelength increases the frequency decreases. Therefore using E=hf for energy of a photon, we can prove that as time goes on photons become less energetic. At least following a logical method we can theories this.

There were about 5 extreme socialists, 10 moderates and 10 members of the workers unions and everyone had 1 vote each on matters that affected the town. The last Wednesday of every month everyone was told to gather at the town center. On average my grandfather, the 5 extreme socialists and about 2-3 others would turn up. My grandfather realized this would result in problems further down the track. So one night he made a proposal for people to vote on. Change the day to the last Friday of every month and change the venue to the local rugby club. The socialists didn't think much of this at the time except for "This just means we won't have to drive to town every Wednesday and we all end up in the rugby club anyway". So everyone voted in favor of this. After the first meeting the socialists immediately regretted this decision. Everyone from the moderates and the unions would show up each friday and the democratic process was no longer under the control of the extreme socialists. My grandfather was a socialist and trade unionist however he recognized that people don't care about the future of the town, they only care about what they can get out of it. Hence why changing the venue and time allowed him to influence the future of the town for the better.

Try teach tolerance to Israel and Palestine, or ISIS and the west, or Liberal and Labor party members. No matter how intelligent we are, no matter where we live or our socioeconomic upbringing we still can't live peacefully. We have waged multiple wars over the course of the last 3 decades alone. We send our children to fight and die in a foreign land far from home. We are not tolerant humans. Is everyone nice to everyone? No. This is because we tolerate like minded people better than others who are not like minded to ourselves. If children in schools are told to go play then they break up into smaller and smaller groups called friends. We naturally segregate each other, we give each other space because we understand that not everyone can tolerate each other. This is a fundamental truth and reality. We naturally separate from each other in order to reduce the possibility of conflict. If you were to force all the children to play together then they would feel uncomfortable. There would be bullies, nice children and the large majority in the middle of the two. The more we force people to tolerate one another creates more and more tension. If we give each other space we can live peacefully however if we continue to force each other to tolerate and compromise, we will eventually create resentment and conflict. You can only retreat so far before you give up everything precious to you.
As a society we understand that tolerance and integration is a good idea.

I don't know that it's the onus of the person to integrate, but rather the responsibility of the society to accept the diversity that the new member brings to the society. Most of the time the tension and conflict is not caused by the new member of a group, but rather the existing population's ...

The reason we have countries is due to natural segregation as a result of language. Throughout time we have built cities which accumulate like minded people. These cities develop culture and traditions that they believe to be correct. If we introduce a foreign entity with a different culture and belief then we tell the locals to tolerate them but the reverse is not done for them. Then we create social tension. It is true that we should try to accept diversity and I'm all for it. However communication and exchange is a 2 way street. If we expect one side to be tolerant then we must ask the same of the other. The problem here is that the west is being told to be tolerant whilst other cultures are not being tolerant. They actively deny the host countries culture and attempt to force their culture onto them. This is a problem with forced integration. If we force one side to compromise and tolerate, we are backing them into a corner. This will only result in hatred and eventual bloodshed as is happening in the US, UK, France, Belgium, etc.

Immigrants always bring with them the culture in which they have lived, and they often try to hang onto elements of that culture because is has become a pert of their identify. For a time it will create some discord. That is to be expected. What is not to be tolerated is the demonization of the ...

I agree that for a time there will be some discord however I was asking if we should force integration when it is unnatural or should we allow it to happen naturally to benefit all cultures. An example of this in society is islamic and chinese cultures which have integrated into western society. The chinese integrate, assimilate and benefit the cultural exchange of the areas, they live alongside the western citizens by making an effort to understand the cultural differences, they're open to understanding and tolerance. However the islamic culture is quite strong and uncompromising in nature, rather than integrate it attempts to subjugate the original western culture by forcing their beliefs on others in a hostile manner. They have no tolerance or understanding for the west however this is mainly due to the multiple invasions of their Middle Eastern homelands by (mainly) American and British forces.

Basically the meaning and purpose of life (completely different to an individual persons meaning and purpose) is energy conversion. I'm in the process of revising my theories and I saw this site so I was curious to see if anyone had been researching this topic? I understand that you will not accept this answer however as I said, "Basically" meaning that I'm just giving the answer to your question with none of the 10+ pages of context and explanation required to understand the answer.
