@Jolanta That's what the ENT doctor said before he did the rhinoplasty and reset it because I was having trouble breathing. 2 weeks with popsicle sticks up my nose but it was much better and I haven't had a physical confrontation since. Often the threat of physical violence behind a well reasoned argument is more effective than physical violence. ;)

I think that based upon the information you have given us and the fact that he has not actually done anything yet to justify a sexual harassment complaint it would be wise to put some distance between him and yourself in order to be sure that he is actually trying to hit on you. If it continues ...
Surfpirate replies on Nov 18, 2018:
So make the complaint to HR and see where it goes but I can see both sides of this issue so it may backfire on Laura and add further stress to her life. She reports that he inappropriately touched her on the shoulder and on the waist and he denies touching her waist but does recall being compassionate about something and giving her a friendly tap on the shoulder; his recollection and not hers. He says that he did tell Laura that she looked nice on occasion because he knows that she is going through a rough stretch at home and wanted to be supportive and the same reason applies to why he reached out to her on social media which may be written in terms that are nebulous. If the guy is an operator trying to put the moves on Laura then he will have covered his tracks and I'm guessing this is the case from the lack of any comments in the original post stating he said such and such which is clearly harassment instead of 'flirty things like nice way to end the shift with you'. The guy may be a sleaze and is probably aware of Laura's personal life and could be trying to take advantage of her or he might actually be caring and supportive but at this point I think it isn't definitive and could wind up getting spun back at Laura to the point of her competency and professionalism being questioned. I'm not suggesting that is fair but I would want an airtight case before I proceeded. I've had a female co-worker come into my house and take her clothes off, extremely awkward considering I knew she was in a vulnerable state personally and I was not interested in having a relationship with her or a quick sexual encounter, it was inappropriate, I deflected it and got her dressed and back home but it would still later come back to bite me through the rumour mill at the office and I was the villain in her account of what happened, nothing happened at all but that's how these things can go down.

When your life is shit and in direct opposition with what you were told to expect out of life because you are a White, Xstian Male and therefore entitled by divine decree to be lord and master over all you survey, well the present reality can be a little upsetting for many and the dim witted in particular. Along comes Prez Cheeto and he explains it to you in simple terms that you can understand - 'It's not your fault, it's those 'bad hombres' who stole your dream but I'm gonna build a wall and make them pay for it so you can be all that you can be'. Now I appreciate that it sounds overly simplistic but to some that is as clear as day, the answer to their prayers because they still believe in the angry old man in the sky. If only it wasn't for the gays fucking things up and making the angry old man in the sky angry at White, Xstian Males. That's why you can't have an intelligent discussion with younger Trump supporters and as for the older Trumpers, it's all about their pensions which are fading away because Baby Bush stole what little was left in that kitty long ago but maybe Trump will print more money out of nowhere like they did for the banks back in 2008 - good luck with that.

That's quite true and indeed disturbing that Disney would go to those lengths for a spectacle for their wildlife film but still there have been cases of lemmings falling into the sea during their mass migrations. What is more disturbing is that the human lemmings among us are quite willing to commit mass suicide and take everyone else with them if it is something that will feed their hatred to the point that they feel they have some meaning in life. It's sad and pathetic but it is also extremely dangerous. Just one of these idiots with a few more active brain cells than the rest would be able to cause a man made disaster that would make 9-11 look like a picnic; after which the people who are really running the show would be clear to clamp down on everyone in order to promote their own agenda.

Surfpirate replies on Nov 16, 2018:
@AmmaRE007 Last I saw Lyndsey he was dealing with the RCMP on an illegal weapons charge, he had a fight with his wife and she walked out, so he started drinking and when Jay Leno came on he didn't find him very funny so he shot the TV set with a 44 Magnum. The TV set didn't slow the bullet down one bit, nor did the window behind it but the neighbours car across the street stopped the bullet and it set off the car alarm. The problem was that Lyndsey had a lifetime ban on owning firearms because of a drug running conviction in his youth so the Mounties were planning to put him away again. A really good worker but a bit of a handful to deal with sometimes, nothing serious but he did have some issues - I don't think he ever forgave his dad for putting a ban on him working the high steel.

@Wurlitzer You can make it with lobster meat in a can or the frozen variety, a lot more reasonable than if you were to buy a whole lobster and a little lobster meat goes a long way, even further if you throw in some canned snow crab to stretch it. ;)

@Pralina1 The Bouvier is a cattle herding dog from Belgium and it is used now as a police dog in much of Europe, particularly in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. They are a very stubborn breed and extremely loyal, definitely not a 'beginner dog' as they are quite willing to assume control if you do not take that role. They are the only dogs I ever have in my life, the last one died 9 years ago and we are only now getting to the point where we think we may be up to having a third Bouv in our lives.

The military is important. WWII was one of the most important wars ever fought. Knowing the importance of the military this post is illogical in so many ways. Soldiers in the trenches aren't fighting for high ideals, they are fighting for the other guys in their squad. The people who made the decisions to go to war didn't base those decisions on high ideals, they based them on profit and loss projections. So long as we keep attacking other countries we should start calling the government agency the Department of Global Attack instead of the Department of National Defense. My opinion, not necessarily yours.
