How else would you refer to someone who is an idiot than as an idiot? These belief systems are idiotic, completely unfounded in fact and completely without evidence to substantiate their claims. The fact that much of the world's troubles are a direct or indirect result of these idiotic dogmas makes them even more heinous. Tell it like it is.

@BufftonBeotch The US's insistence upon claiming the title America for itself and extending its influence over the rest of the Americas does cause confusion and a great deal of the conflict in the 'New World'. No doubt the Native populations were confused and surprised to learn that they had been 'discovered'. Your post got me thinking so I checked and the group members of Redbone were of mixed native and mexican heritage, the term 'Redbone' is a Cajun term for a person of mixed blood.

It was surprisingly cool inside the old hacienda which sprawled back from the carriage door for half a block, outside it was oppressively hot and humid. The doorman I slipped the money to told me not to disturb the owner who was a tall, older gentleman I saw briefly who I gave a nod and a smile to, he was very aristocratic but you could tell the family had seen better times as they were letting me in for $30. (the tour service wanted $150 if I remember correctly so $30 was probably his cut) I took a few photos from the hip because they said no photos, most didn't come out but the doorman did let me go up to the case and take a pic of the sword, it is in the piano room behind a velvet rope like you would find at an older cinema.

Surfpirate replies on Aug 13, 2018:
I grow almost everything from seed, except peppers as I have had a devil of a time growing them from seed, maybe because I am in Canada and the season is short. Check to see if there is a seed exchange in your area, you can get heirloom seeds at these clubs when they have a sale either in the fall or the spring. I start mine early in my solarium to get a jump on things because of my climate zone but you should have no problems. Ask the people at the seed exchange what works for them in your area and then try out a couple of packets of seeds, if you find some you like then just save the seeds for next year and you don't have to buy them again, it makes for very affordable tomatoes.

If I throw stones at them to chase them away they just stare at me until I get within about 20' then they edge away and come back in the middle of the night. Annoying but I still like them. @CelticFire I've seen a bit and I still have a great deal to see. It depends how much more I will get to see but I am happy to have been able to see Antarctica. It's possibly the only place on this planet where humans haven't managed to assert themselves, at least not yet.

There was a fundraiser in Toronto years ago and these moose statues and heads were auctioned off for charity. There are still a few around but most have disappeared over the years.

I have some pics from Ollantaytambo around someplace, it's probably a 3 day walk through the Valle Sagrado from Pisac and the stonework there is amazing. I don't imagine I could replicate it without pulse lasers and some CNC equipment.

Those recurring dreams can be fun if you become aware in them and then start playing around with them like a director of a movie. Change the scenery, change the plot line, change some of the characters and change the ending, it's great fun.

Saudi Arabia’s response to Canada’s chide is overblown at the very least. It smacks of Trump poking his nose in to punish Canada for standing up to his bully tactics.

You may have a point, the GOP hates Canada because we are living proof that all of the social programs they tell people are just impossible to provide are in fact very possible indeed. Surfpirate replies on Aug 7, 2018:
@HereticSin My thoughts exactly, although I couldn't allow an actual fight to break out on my site on my watch. The bouncer at the bar told me later that the youngsters started it and got in a couple of hits before the tables turned and my older guys put a good beating on them before the bouncer had to move in and break it up. The bouncer was a friend of my foreman so he let him get a couple of extra licks in before he broke it up. Young guys tend to be faster but older guys are denser and can take a hit or two without going down, apparently that surprised the young lads and in the worst possible way. ;)
