I was recently wondering what hovered meant-thanks for the post! I always use my phone on this site, maybe I’ll use a laptop-never hovered before!?
No problem with hovering or visiting. Nice to get to know people better here...
Exactly. Also if I find someone interesting, man or woman, I follow them. Doesn't mean I want to sleep with them.
I like the "hover" capability, as it's a quick way to learn (or remember) who someone is, before I reply to a post, so I don't need to "visit" their complete profile. But I don't like having all the "hovers" listed in my "recent visitors" list. I didn't realize (until now) that I can change my settings to not show the hovers. Yay! Thanks for tip!
My right thumb is in a huge cast right now, I accidentally click on people every time I login
What doesn't kill you, gives you a lot of unhealthy coping mechanisms and a sick twisted sense of humor.
"My own theory is that for creatures from another solar system 'hovering' may be a socially acceptable mode of relating. It may, indeed, be pleasurable. I myself once hovered over an eighteen-year-old actress for six months and had the best time of my life."
-Woody Allen, The UFO Menace
Sometimes my cat knocks the mouse and I hover.
Sometimes my hand wanders and I hover.
Sometimes I deliberately hover to see age or gender.... but I'm not being a stalker... Really! It's just more information about how to relate to someone.
@Akfishlady Yup I don't even check who hovered on me. I know they find out I'm here for Community.
There is a hover option on here? I have never seen this. But access on phone so I guess I am missing out. But viewing someone's profile should not be read into more than what it actually is. Just learning more about fellow members.
Absolutely!
It floors me when people -- usually men -- lament "Why are all these dudes checking me out?!?!" 98% of them likely are NOT checking the person out. I liken it to just noticing the new person at the BBQ.
Hover all you want. I hover all I want. Hover is a quick & easy way to see if some one is in the Uk or down the road a piece. If they are for community or looking for me. Yoo hoo. Here I am.
@Akfishlady Women are not creepy. & who cares what a stranger thinks. You got the T shirt. That is all that matters.
I don't mind, I hover sometimes, mostly for location, or age.
