Why Dont We Ever Call White Extremists Terrorists?
[news.vice.com]
If you look objectively at terrorism, it is the strategy of the oppressed. It's not the act that makes it terrorism but the target. If you target those who are already oppressed you can't be a terrorist, right?
Couple of definitions for you:

I HAVE heard of them being referred to as terrorists in the past! They ARE terrorists simply because they use terrorist tactics! Those idiots that carried the torches in Charlotte (the torch company did not advocate the use of their torches in that fashion) and shouted some nonsense about not being replaced by Jews - peaceful protests don't involve fire sticks! Fire has always been a tool of intimidation used by the Klan and other white supremacist organizations. Sure, none of that activity is supposed to intimidate you (sarcasm). Driving a car into the crowd was just a friendly way of saying hello! (more sarcasm) Yup, I definitely smell terrorism!
What type of terrorism are you talking about, exactly?
Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist (blew up the Federal Building in Oklahoma City). People like Dylan Rooff are not.
I think the authors of the article (and the ADL) draw a false equivalency between hate crimes and terrorism. Terrorists have a political objective. While some may be attracted to the politics of terrorist groups, they're not acting to further those objectives; they're using them as an excuse to act out their own hateful power fantasies.
Dylan Roof, Timothy McVeigh, Robert Bowers, Jeremy Joseph Christian, Cesar Sayoc, and many others had a political agenda. Not surprisingly their agendas are connected. The Incels, Nazis, the Klan, anti-government extremists, white nationalists are all connected, especially online.

I know this link is to a teaser for a Frontline show but if you go to PBS you can watch the whole episode.
@Veteran229 My response was to link these terrorists politically, which is why I included Sayoc, for paul4747's comment. If you want to talk about demographics:

Who are the "we" referred to in the title of the article?
You could read the article.
@kmdskit3 I did. It's not defined in the article either.
Same reason we don't call Native Americans terrorists.
