The big reveal. Got my surgery dressing and splint off for a hard cast. Incisions look good very little swelling and very little pain. 4 weeks in the hard cast and then removeable splint and occupational therapy for 4-6 weeks.

Good to see you healing. Now I'm not going to whine about a little poison oak lol.

Everyone in a wrist cast extends that finger. Think nothing of it.

I'm glad you're recovering well. Sounds like it was a much needed surgery.

Still ouch. But congrats for the healing and transition.

Glad to see you are in good spirits!

Alright, alright, alright.

Get well soon!

@SaucyCheryl You're very welcome. Does it feel different than having bone in tere, or can you tell yet?

Ouch, try rubbing in some vaseline on the wounds/scars, it will keep the tissues soft and prevent them from becoming harder and harsher as the heal.

Ow! Compound?
Sorry...

Very happy you are recovering so wonderfully!! Nice to see you in here again.

Okay I'm trying to figure out why they marked you up with Purple? That's new to me.

The nearest comparison I have is carpal tunnel surgery and that was a breeze in comparison. I woke up with the electrical feeling GONE. (Had one hand done and then the other - cause I live alone and someone had to - you know? 😉 ... ).
And immediately stopped dropping my drinking glasses.... everywhere.

I hope the pain is greatly reduced. I hate that bruising post surgery - it's like "Dang!". "Look what they did you to you - you poor thing!".

@SaucyCheryl i can imagine! I hope you have some good drugs.
Pain doesn't aid healing.
I wasn't pain free? But my nights had been so bad prior to surgery that my sleep actually improved.
Also tell people that hand position alleviates all your pain!! ?

Flipping the bird with a cast in hospital? You badass. You’ll heal nicely, no worries.
Good decision.
