For sure, he's still p.o'd. I'm sure he'd be happier if he'd move on.... But then again, you might remember it's f'ing Morrisey from the Smiths.... They built their musical career on being p.o'd. In fact, they'd probably be p.o'd if someone didn't, you know, stop them before they'd say something we'd all heard before.....

I love The Smiths. They're one of my go to bands. But, yeah...Morrissey is a tool.

I was reared a Roman Catholic so I can relate to the guilt instilled in us from childhood. It feels like this:

Romans 7:24  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me out of the body of this death? 

when it should feel like this:

Romans 7:25  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I myself with the mind serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. 

Now that's relief!

Never cared for The Smiths or Morrissey. Never got on board with most
of the bands of that era and genre. All were far too whiny and introspective
for me.

Everything I've ever heard about Morrissey, as a person, makes me care
even less for him.
If he says he's "forgiven" a fictional character, that proves to me that he's
a straight-up nutter.

I love his music, both with The Smiths and as a solo artist - but the man himself is a massive twat.

I think it is a song and his heart was in his hand. Doesn't matter about the 80's or any other time. I do a basic avoid of everything "now" coz the world has went insane. Like what you will. Live and let live.
