Is any one else having trouble getting Medicare to work for them? They just stopped paying for any help for Kate. No help she dies. Any one else have a problem?
Thanks to all who contribute. I know there are many here who are or will be affected. Especially with the current administration.
What about your/her supplemental insurance, they are supposed th be the primary payer, then Medicare kicks in.
Here treatments are so expensive that the supplemental is taken up in the first month. Everything else is on Medicare.
@dalefvictor get a different plan! I have had several complete joint replacements, including home care r& months of rehab, and paid Nothing, not one dime....Medicare Supplemental plans, like the ones through AARP/United Healthcare, have No cutoff amounts, none
@AnneWimsey This is what we have, but as far as I understand they have paid their due and we are back to Medicare for the rest. The secondary only pays up to a certain amount.
@dalefvictor not true at all,ans other posts on here attest....but you need to be on the right plan! AARP has 800# with English-speaking counselors ("hi, this is Bob in Iowa!" ) They do Not work on commission, you answer their questions about your needs, they get you on the correct plan.
@AnneWimsey Thank you I now have a lot of work to do.
Thanks, we will see what happens. This is the second time they have done this, It is the only thing that works. IVIG Intraveneous Interferon G.
