Hello, everyone! I was an active member back in 2017/2018 but had a very bad experience through here and left. It's been long enough thought I'd try it again.

How is everyone? I'm in Naples, Fl. I'm the lead singer of a Blues-Rock band and a remote teacher to China. Just hanging out and having fun.

Let me guess, you met someone here, moved to Iowa to marry him then found out he was the High Priest in a cult of drunken necrophiliacs. You tried to make it work but couldn't so you left him and moved to Naples to start your life over. It's the usual story.

Welcome back. Post often. 🙂

Not sure who you think you're talking to and making assumptions with - I'm not stupid. I don't do that crap. The first sign of creepy and I'm out. And it takes very little for me to feel creepiness coming my way. If anything, I'm too cautious.

Met him for dinner. He was creepy. I wanted nothing more to do with him - he stalked me anyway - in real space and on here. Told a whole bunch of lies to get people to turn on me. Made my life fairly miserable for a time.

@tryingcake I was joking with you and welcoming you back. I thought that was obvious. I'm sorry you went through all that. At any rate, as I said, welcome back and post often.

@Sgt_Spanky It was obvious to me that you were joking

@Sgt_Spanky like Lucy_Fehr, me too. Horrible stalking experience, though. That could easily make someone tend toward caution and hyper-vigilence.

@Sgt_Spanky, @tryingcake Yikes!! I'd be cautious, too, if I'd gone through that. It might also mess with my humor-detector. :/

Oh! Sorry to pop in without even a greeting. Welcome back, and maybe hold off on using this as a dating site. I tried that at first. It didn't go anyehere. But community conversation is much more satisfying, anyway.

@MikeInBatonRouge I'm not really looking to date. I put on my profile what I'm looking for if I am going to date. But really, I'm hoping to meet someone organically over time.

Glad you gave it a second chance here. I’ve been here since August 2018, as I was looking for other Atheists after my husband passed away in June 2018. I’ve enjoyed the site immensely, with only a couple hiccups with snarky people. I learned the block function was my friend.😉 Look Forward to your contributions to the site.

How is everyone?

Moi? I'm so wonderful it's disgusting to give the details. I'll spare you the details of how amazingly amazing I am least you become disgusted with the details.

This month I plan to wander away to Cade's Cove, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, far, far away from the Florida hurricanes I used to experience.

Naples, you say? I used to live north of there on Anna Maria Island, which is little south of Tampa/St. Pete. They had legendary red tides that use to make me spend some of my weekends inland.

i lived on anna maria for a year, sold cars at the oldsmobile place in bradenton, dunno if its still there. played volleyball out at the restaurant on the end 🙂 guess i picked a good year, don't recall any red tides

Welcome back, I suspect many of us have had a bad experience on here, especially at the start.
Stay in the game, it keeps us connected to others that still need people, even when we disagree.

Welcome back.

Hope this round treats you well.

How is everyone? good question. I imagine there is a rather vast spectrum of how people "are" with a larger then average transition to the -stressed and worried- side of the scale.

Fl is lovely. Compiling four visits I spent just under a moth in Fl and enjoyed many attributes of the state.

I am in North Dakota. This area is among the highest positive covid per capita rates in the nation so as a tRump butt sniffing red state they plant to fully opening schools (no longer online) in a few weeks. Tuesday our Republican governor held a conference about covid and noted requiring masks would not be possible because people in this state value their civil rights. Physically, I am currently (as of the last test) covid free, fiscally comfortable, living in a comfortable environment with a job this is (for now) tentatively rewarding. I am a bit apprehensive about the tRump infection that may not be corrected in a few months. This state will promote the tRump virus and I am less then confident a less then honest election process will mitigate the red virus corrupting our government.

Hope you stay safe and find much happiness.

I did a stint in Williston during the boom. I liked the area.

@tryingcake I am a few hundred miles South East of Williston. There are some positive attributes of North Dakota. Haven't been to Willistion in two years. Lots of of things have changed.

No matter where you go, there is always an arsehole. Better luck picking them this time around.🙂

Welcome back. I used to sing in rock bands but I don't want to have to move equipment anymore.....

Yeah, that equipment hauling is the part I get paid for. LOL! Man, music is in my blood. I stop but go right back to it.

I wasn't around back then, so I guess welcoming you back is inappropriate...

Nice to meet you! 🙂

I can relate at times I wonder if there are any intelligent life left on here!!!

Too many are wounded refugees from religious dogma!!!

The world and country is falling apart and being taken over by moronic idiots and their fascists followers, they are still concerned wether heaven or hell is still open to them!!!

Of course of this is in overt jest or???

@tryingcake
Welcome back. I think you joined around the same time frame as me. I went on a long hiatus from the site also, but for different reasons. Hope you have a better experience this time 😊

Well that is just horrible you had a bad experience here, makes you weary when you read it, and good on you for showing the courage to come back.
Anyhoo, your band sounds cool,
