"Harken yee unto me thou who shalt listen for Verily I tell thee that upon this the 8th day, not the 6th, nor even the 9th, but verily the 8th did he cast aside those things called ciggies, smokes, gaspers, coffin nails and more besides.
For upon the Witches hour of the 7th day did he partake of the last of his baccy afore getting him self into his bed."
Yes, no joke, Today is the DAY, NO MORE ciggies for me, still using the Nicotine Chews and following the course of Champix tablets but determined that I'll never smoke again.
Good for you! I quit smoking in 1993 and I don't think I have the fortitude to do that twice in one lifetime.
Put aside a little of the money, or all of it, you would spend on cigs every day, and watch the pile grow rapidly, until you have enough to give yourself a big treat. Incentive and a reminder of your achievement.
Though about that, will be putting about60% of the smokes money away in a Bank Account until it piles up enough for me buy a Motorcycle with a Side-car, engine size somewhere the 250 - 400C.C. range
@Triphid I am about to tempt you horribly: set your sights on a Harley-Davidson! (Runs away and ducks for cover.)
@anglophone What buy a Yank export, a Suburbanites Status symbol, no way.
Since Enfields are being re-made in India now I'd be going for one those.
If you want to swear or whatever feel free to PM me, I worked in a shipyard 13 years!
Need no encouragement to that, I can swear like a boat load of drunken sailors or a Gang of Veteran Shearers when ever the mood/circumstance requires it.
Good for you! Determination is a powerful thing.
Very well done you!
