Did anyone else get a complaint warning message? Just curious. It came from “cs10}
We want to let you know that we have received a number of complaints about your posts or comments. As we want to provide a free community where all members feel safe to express their opinions, we would like to remind you of our "Community Guidelines" (see the "About Us" page). The most common reason why posts get complaints is that the tone of post is overtly confrontational or contains personal attacks on indviduals or groups (e.g., "All you people are XYZ..." ). If we receive more verified complaints about your posts, we will unfortunately be forced to delete your account. Please also consider that this is a free non-profit website without ads and therefore we don't have much time to review member issues.
JeebusH, if you are getting such a thing I guess I am GONE........
Same
I've not had one of those. I wonder who was getting upset.
Would be nice if they told more, even if they don't give you a name. FB at least lets you know whatever they are flagging you for. This makes it hard to correct when you have no idea what the offence was.
I haven't seen one, and I certainly deserve one.
When I insult someone, and I do often, I use words above a 6th grade level. Maybe they don't know they've been insulted.
No.
I reported and blocked Republicans who meanly insulted me for being a Democrat.
They hated my signs for marches. Haha!
I have blocked a few and I don't mind if someone blocks me, which is a proper way to not see posts that upset you in my opinion. This is totally different. I've been if FB jail several times, but at least they told me why.
Who's a bully?
I got one a while back when I flamed some guys that I had blocked earlier. But since it was in General Forum, the blocks were off, so I ended up engaging with them. I got a three day suspension from posting or commenting on Agnostic. Frankly, Barnie, I'm surprised about your warning, since you seem to be one of the milder people I've encountered on here. All I can say is watch your language and don't call anybody names.
I truly do my best not to engage in name calling. And if the engagement goes more than a few rounds, just leave it be. I had a comment flagged on FB because my dog got attacked by a Pit-bull and a friend said I should start carrying a gun. My answer was snuffed because I said I never would have had time to draw, the Pit came out of nowhere. But I told the owner of the dog after she got him under control, if it tried to come after mine again (they were not far away) I would slit its throat. That got me a warning.
@Barnie2years On the one hand, I think you were totally justified to tell her that if her dog did not stay under control and attacked your dog again, you were going to take care of her dog. I don't know if that threat against her dog would be criminally liable on your part or not, but I don't blame you for telling her that. On the other hand, I'm not surprised that FB would be iron-fisted about anyone making a threat of violence against another person or their pet, no matter how justified, and would consider that kind of thing over the line and a form of misconduct.
No, but I found some text in one of my posts got altered mysteriously. I do not think God did it.
You never know, maybe we're all wrong and there is a God, one that did it? NOT!
From the Admin? Who would complain about you? You're the nicest guy on this website.
Thanks! It didn’t give details, just said I could get booted.
No, I did not. I'd like to file a complaint about this.
From who? I have not gotten any warning message.
