@Betty people sometimes tell me I am "wise." I laugh. I am knowledgeable in my "areas," but wisdom is not the same as knowledge.

@michelle666gar I went the northern route its my summer choice, a"little" cooler and a couple of hours shorter.

@glennlab True! Northern Arizona is a lot cooler than the rest of the state and West Texas for sure, that was my favorite part when I went to Las Vegas! I don't like Las Vegas too much, to many people and it's way too hot for me!

The cookie thread come from me saying you are a "smart cookie." He wrote, "Cookies are awesomeness…..especially smart ones!! " I responded that I did not care for "stupid cookies." I was teasing about him hitting on you per the him liking "smart cookies."

@glennlab One day back in the 90s I parked my pickup truck (a 1973 F-100) on the south side of that channel and walked briskly to a nearby Mexican government office to turn in some paperwork. I was only away from my truck for like 10 minutes. On my way back I could see the hood was up, so I picked up the pace. Arriving at my vehicle I found a bum trying to steal my battery. He was trying to turn the nuts on the terminal clamps with a ratty old pair of channel locks. I said (in Spanish), "gimme that," and held out my hand. The bum handed me the channel locks, and I walked over and threw the channel locks into the river channel. Then I told the bum to get lost, re-attached my battery (with my own wrench; I always had a toolbox in my truck), slammed my hood shut, and went on my way. The incident did not make the Channel 5 news.
