I just helped this lovely lady across the road. She's one of the prettiest females I've seen in a time.

that truly is a pretty pattern she wears!

@Insectra, unless she's gay. ... & even then.

I spent a lot of time as a turtle escort when I lived in Alabama

not kinky at all.. (joke)

@Lukian good one. THere is always another interpretation a writer might not think of

@Lukian I am in therapy now

@btroje lol. There is no such thing as a happy hooker. I hope therapy helps you.

@Lukian reptilian hooking is another thing altogether

@btroje I hear that people tend to grow a hard shell after a while. They become impervious to comments (ok,ok I'll stop now...)

We are making progress. Wildlife is to be helped, not harmed.

It's good to know there are people out there who care enough to help.

Two summers ago I was driving down a back road to a state park when I saw a painted turtle crossing. I stopped my car, but before I could get out a boy who looked like he was about 12 years old carrying a Red Ryder BB gun and wearing a homemade cape ran out of a nearby yard and carried her to safety. He waved and yelled that it was his job to help the turtles on his road.

That was cool, but I was still laughing when I launched my kayak.

ADD: I edited my post twice now to delete all of the gibberish. It reappeared last time.

Whew. I was cringing until the conclusion of the story. What a happy ending.

The kids took this pic the other day. I asked them to not bother it. They're learning. This turtle was spotted under the blackberry bushes, so safe from traffic.
