This hopper allowed me to stroke him repeatedly - after which I couldn't exile him from my deck plants, let alone toy with the idea of munching those for their high protein source any more. but hey, I'm a snowflaky vegetarian anyway!

The really flashy moths won't be out for a couple of weeks yet, so here are some of the more subtle beauties flying right now: The Herald, lunate zale, a green form emerald, a red form emerald, and a lappet moth.

@nothinnXpreVails here are a couple of insects that made me think of one of your earlier posts. Both of these are heavily infested with parasitic mites. They were obvious all the time on the cranefly, but with the beetle they were barely noticeable...

That is 5 rogue chickens in my garden. I may have sang 'Rawhide ' while I herded them back home next door - no witnesses after all!

Critters recently found in my garden. 1) Salamander(?) relaxing on a log (native?) 2) Black worm(?) (invasive(?)) 3) Arrowhead worm (Bipalium) (I’m not sure which species, but probably invasive.) 4) Plain Eastern Stripeless Scorpion (native)
