If you're sitting down, all cats figure that you must need a cat on your lap or on the computer keyboard to make your day complete. As someone said, the require attention, so this is a good way to get it.

Cats love attention . If you're just sitting there , they figure you aren't busy , so show up for attention . Be prepared . Provide them with an appropriate sit-upon , near you , and something to attract their interest and you'll find them much more cooperative .
