As a kid we had a cat who'd sneak into all the neighbors houses to get steal some food.
We had a neighbor cat that would walk in through the open door, check things in the house out, eat and leave. One day he decided he had had enough and jumped up on the back of my overstuffed chair, put his front paws on my head and licked my bald spot. We misunderstood how the owners pronounced his name and called him "Toad". Eventually the neighbors moved away taking him with them. Toad did not like the new place and so they brought him back to the neighborhood and set him free. From that day on he was ours and the relationship was great. From this day, he was black, I have always had a black cat, all of them have been great and loving.
Tommy, the cat my family had when I was a kid, would not only go into other people's homes to et, but they woudl find him asleep on their beds

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
