When I first met Kate, I knew she had a cat. This cat was her buddy, so I gave it as much room as it had before I was there. It would eat on the table with us. Kind of funny as Kate would give it a plate of food just like us. I figured the cat was her buddy and if I wanted to be a part of the group I would have to get in line behind the cat. I told Kate that we could have no more than ten cats as I needed to be in the top ten at some time, did not matter where in the top ten, just somewhere. I have never figured out where I am in the bunch, but I must have done alright as we have been together 32 years. We now have six cats and Kate is looking hard at two more who need a home.

The cat is placed by the cat, and the cat will be irritated if you disagree.

Agreed. The cat will let you know it's decision, which may change multiple times throughout the meal.
