Any recommendations for a harness? Or would any brand work? My moms cat ran away last year when trying to get her rabies shot. Thankfully we located her 3 weeks later as if nothing ever happened. We want to avoid this from happening this year and wonder if a harness and leash will be that fix.
I've had several cats that were trained to wear a harness and leash. Make sure it's a cat harness, I like the vest-style ones with the wide straps that are more comfortable for kitty. Most cats need some time to get used to the harness at first, so be prepared to spend some time getting kitty used to it. I bribed my cats with treats the first few times they wore their harnesses.
Great tip!
