I was cat-sitting for a friend this weekend.
The thing is - she doesn't actually have any cats.
She does, however, have a few strays that depend on her generosity. (and one mooch of a neighbour cat.)
Thought I would share some pictures.
The pictures with the 2 cats: Zippy-the-mooch (neighbour cat) and Orange aka Sock Puppet (stray). These guys seem to be buddies and will follow each other around the yard.
The other picture is "Wild Cat" who has a very sweet face, but is very skittish. He can tolerate the other cats and seems to be ok with my friend, even letting her pet him, but not me.
For a household with no pets, there sure are a lot of cats.

I love the name Sock Puppet! ha!
Ha ha. Right?!
When he sits up in his back legs, my friend thinks he looks like a sock puppet.
His full name is Stinky Lumpy Stumpy Sock Puppet. He has short little legs and needs a good bath!! LOL
But he's so sweet and gentle. She would adopt him in a heartbeat, if he would let her.
Meow.
Aww, what good souls you both are <3
Edit: also, all of them are lovely, of course, but wild cat is just majestic!!
Thanks, and I'll let him know you think so.
(I agree too)
☺
I wish he (and Orange) would take a chance and let us bring them into to the vet. They deserve to be healthy and a warm, loving, safe home too.
They are all good boys. And my friend is as lucky as they are to have them in her life. (I'm sure I can speak for on this point.)
Meow.
Lovely! Are those cats eating food they've taken out of the bowl and put on the deck? I've had some cats who were goofy like that.
There's a bowl for kibble and a bowl for soft food and the bits on the deck at treats.
They were so good for letting me pet them that I gave them treats too.
I'm a sucker, I know.
???
Although, the grey one -Zippy-the-mooch- bonks my hand every time I try to put out food and send the kibble all over.
He is Definitely a Goofball!

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
