Ok so any of you find yourself talking to your kitty when he/she/they talk to you? I’m like “what’s going on?”
It's not so much saying words, though I think cats do learn the meaning of some, it's more the tone of my voice that I use to try communication.
Just the other day I was yelling back and forth with Monkey to shut up. He was somewhere in the house meowing, sounding like he was complaining. After a few minutes I realized he was locked in a closet......
Mine love to walk into any closet I open. I know the struggle.
[moderncat.com] Just the basic sounds and what they mean.
I'm betting the cat folk already know what their cats are saying though. lol
I always talk to my kitties, & Purrin herself is very vocal.
Oh yeah. In fact, I meow back. I have no idea what I'm saying but it seems like we are having a great conversation.

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
