Squirrels are great, I like to watch them, I would even feed them, we do not have any around here, at least I do not see them. This means they are not comming around as the grits are betteer somewhere else.

My cat probably weighs as much as an average squirrel and he spends hours watching them, occasionally trying to catch one -lolol! It would be an even match if he ever actually did!

Squirrels can be quite dangerous as their teeth are sharp and they also have claws.
@dalefvictor Good they can defend themselves!
@Justjoni That may be a problem since they could get lucky and do a lot of damage to a cat, of course the cat could also do some damage to them.
@dalefvictor If a cat chooses to attack another critter with claws and teeth, it should at least be a fair fight. I adore my cat, but ecologically he is a subsidized predator, unfair advantages galore. I hope he’s smart enough to look but not attack.
