My Charlie cat was a climber. When visiting a motel in Port Aransas Texas, Charlie went for a climb. Up a bookcase, one shelf at a time, to the top, pushed a ceiling panel up and entered a hugh dead space overhead. Recognizing the dilemma, I decided to wait him out. After a while, he started meowing. I located the sound and it was moving around. I waited for his voice to become more desperate. After several hours of exploring, he started to panic. I raised the ceiling panel over the bookcase, with a broomstick. Charlie shot out of his hide, like lightning. We stayed at this motel for one month, and Charlie never went near bookcase again.

Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
