I haven't read a newspaper in my house since way before I got the cats. One of my cats will come over to check out my computer when I have a music video playing. Generally my cats are happy to be near me, or exploring the house. One is upstairs now playing with the robovac and looking out the open windows/doors. Ah, she just came down to use the litter box. Generally they're not lap cats, but they will sleep on the bed with me. They're both young, I think as they get older they may evolve into lap kitties. Right now there is just too much to explore!

No never, they just sit in front of me all the time, they help me type, eat, and watch tv.

I have a cat just like that. She has to have all the attention even when in the bathroom. She is a naughty cat when she doesn't get attention she wants. I've gone through three shower curtains because she would claw at them because she wasn't getting attention. Thankfully I get those at the dollar store.

I certainly see pictures of it all the time!
