Zoe and Cloris like the canned food I give them. I provide some canned food and some dry food. Is this a good combination?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.We used to have a cat that got sick and needed special food. Kate found a way to basically build a mouse using stuff from the store and different vitamins and minerals. Worked great as the cat lived to a great old age.

My cats have dry food out all the time and get canned food in the morning. The younger cat thinks the dry food is toys, she will deliberately knock it out of the bowl and bat it around the kitchen floor until it goes under the stove. She even has managed to lift the bowl to knock out more pieces all at once. That fur girl is diabolical!

If it is good quality. I always fed half a can To each in the morning and dry all day. Never had a problem.

More or less my current routine. Started this because sometimes they have meds that get mixed in with the wet, but think it is a good idea even if they don't need the meds.
One of my kitties coats changed entirely for the better when I added wet food to her diet. It improved even more when I went for a brand that was all meat.
It's really hard to find good food for cats. My rule of thumb is buy the best you can.
