My kitties do not go outside.
When I was a teen living with dad/stepmonster, I was sick in bed with the flu. Stepmonster let cat in but didn't notice what she was carrying. Kitty came up to my bed and proceeded to try to dismember a bird. Ewwww! I grabbed kitty by the only part I could reach, the tail. Kicked my feet to kick the bird corpse off the bed, and holler for help from parents. Dad heard me, yelled at stepmonster to go find out what I needed. She came up, grabbed tissues, then the birdie, and took the birdie for disposal. I let go of kitty and kitty followed bird and stepmonster. A few moments later kitty was back on the foot of my bed, and for about 15 minutes she scolded me!! Seriously, she was a Siamese, she was a talker. She gave me a stern talking to for several minutes, and sniffed all over the bed hoping we missed a bird part. She was my first heart cat, I loved that little girl and I was her chosen human. But I draw the line at eating dead birds on my bed!
Great story!

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
