They've been framed... It's fake news? It's it's... well it's possibly true... But I think they care.
I think it's a bit ambiguous because "don't really care" and "don't care" are two different things. We have to be careful about attributing human thoughts and emotions to other animals. I'd love to be Dr Dolittle to find out...
They're not protective like a dog, but they do care and many love us.
I agree. One thing that I loved about my cat was how she used to greet me when I got home and especially when we got home from a holiday. That used to be a be such a nice end to our holidays.
Oh, not so true. Back, about 32 years, my ex-wife and I went on vacation and left our cat, Vanessa in the care of a neighbor. The neighbor, Angela, was probably 13. The cat 16.
The first time she came in the house to feed Vanessa, she left rather quickly. It seems Vanessa met Angela in the kitchen with an arched back, raised hackles and a very loud growl.
Angela brought her dad back for protection. Vanessa got fed.
Vanessa was a fierce cat. All black. Part Siamese. Hated dogs. In fact, she chased them. She never met a dog she liked. And, dogs gave her a wide berth if they knew her. And, she was the only house cat I have ever heard growl with a roar-like sound. Not just a simple growl.
Despite all that, she was very loving with her protectees — her family.
I didn't say they weren't territorial.
Sounds a bit anthropomorphic...
When my childhood cat passed away, it was noticeable how the other neighbouring cats "moved in" to our property. She was a real scrapper when it came to defending her turf.
I don’t agree.
My cat is so protective of me. And friends’ cats get anxious when they have a busy schedule and miss time sitting with them.
Staff welfare and discipline is important to cats. Lol. I don't particularly agree with the headline either. This meme is just a bit of fun and wasn't intended to be taken seriously.

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
