Maine coon cat - what a gorgeous tail!

Maine Coon's are great animals. We had three at one time and their mother. They all were friendly, loving, and great to sleep with. Though strong enough to scratch their way out or into anything, ours never harmed us. The mother cat was feral an thus did not like to be messed with, until her later days when an immediate change came, sent both Kate and I to the emergency room. Our fault as we were trying to capture her and to do so I grabbed her hard to hold her while Kate tried to get a box ready, she needed to go to the vet, she did not make it to the vet and after this we made an effort to really give her space and treat her with a little more caution. This took some time but she came around to letting us pick her up and hug her, she slept at Kate's head for years.
