About a week ago the local police killed one. I encountered a similar cat while walking home from the YMCA a few years back. Really glad it decided not to eat me. (no, I am not being funny, I was unarmed.)

I had a friend get stuck in his car - he was changing the oil - when he heard a mountain lion on the wall of the garage he was busy rebuilding.
And he was exposed to the great outdoors. He jumped into the car and he stayed in the car a solid hour waiting to make a run for the house.
He's 6ft 3 in - but he's NOT stupid. lol
