My furbabies demand that I open up a can of their favorite food almost every night. They are not satisfied with dry food, they MUST have canned food frequently. Do your felines make similar demands?
dry and canned but the canned better be on time or it gets dangerous to walk, twice daily right now but if I am working for home she is campaining for lunch to be added to the menu
My sister used to only give her cats dry food. Then one of them get sick and the vet said to give her wet food. O fcours you cant' just give wet food to just one, so they all got wet food. As that set of cats died off of old age, there was a bi of overlap with the new cats, so they got wet food too.... and still do. And yes, they do demand it... twice daily.
Would you eat only Cheerios forever ?
Even if tuna flavored .... dry food is nothing like eating a bird bones guts feathers and all ....our hunters have for millions of years bit the necks of prey and dragged the carcass to their kittens for feasting
....cats preen and groom and purr their way into our hearts....for all their nurturing mammal time they give us we need to drag a carcass out of pop top cans and feed our grown up kittens mine Laila 9 & Kiti 6
Purr purr ... meow meow
Our routine is canned at 7 am. Dry during the rest of the day.
We've started giving them canned food almost daily, the older one has lost a little weight and I want to fatten him back up. Plus then I can mix in the coconut oil that I'm really hoping will help with his hairballs. They get excited and start talking every time we even open that closet, lol.
Canned when I get up.....AND BEFORE my breakfast, dry in the feeder all the time.
My kitties routine is canned food in the morning, 1/4 can for each. The rest of the time they get dry food, and I keep a feeder full for them.
I have have four cats and do the four-way split, too.
Every evening at 4:30. I have no idea how they know what time it is.
Every night at 9:00 or 9:30, they start meowing. They have internal clocks.
@SKH78 I had a cat when I was growing up that would sit on the stairs and meow at me if I wasn't going to bed at 9. She slept on the bed with me most nights. The one night my dad let us stay up late, she was so insistent! We had quite a confused cat.
They just know.
