Larry, incidentally, is officially a civil servant and bears the title Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office. So too is his colleague Palmerston (Chief Mouser to the Foreign Office), while Lawrence of Abdoun and Leyla Pixie are officially employed at the British Embassies in Jordan and Turkey.

Larry famously doesn't like many of the politicians and civil servants he meets (especially Palmerston; though he really liked Freya who worked alongside him for a few years and was much better at catching mice than him), but he immediately took a liking to Obama. I wonder what he'd make of Trump?
