One of the little furries has stolen valor! I am a guardian of two. One's name is Tommi. She might be 5-6 years old? She was a stray that I fed. One night it was cold, and I let her in. She is still with me. The other cat is Ambrocious. I went to an FFL dealer, waiting for him. Ended up with Ambrocious.
Anywho, I usually stay at the farm, not my house. Mices get in there somehow. Ambrocious is a little killer! However, I have seen not once, but TWICE where Tommi got a mouse, and she stole it from her! Out of her mouth! Once even took it to me to kinda say "look what I did".
Be careful. These little ones are sneakier than you think! Sleep with one eye open!
Sigh, I usually have to trap my own mice, despite having four cats.

I only have one cat that learned to hunt. (Their Mom's teach them).
I know because the first time I became aware of this he dropped the still live mouse at my feet - he wanted me to give it whirl too. I tucked my feet up and said "No Rasputin this is up to you - now go FINISH the JOB!".
The other two were happy to give chase - but hadn't a clue about administering a coup de grace.
I'll try not to think about the fact that "Murder Mittens" might do in some prey and the other two might decide to put it on my pillow in this stolen valor game.....
Mice seem to be able to get into the most tightly put together homes. And It's not like we can put out poison (we have cats!). Nevermind I've read it's a great way to poison wildlife in your area. (The mice get back out and things like eagles eat them).
