@SACatWalker You're welcome. My most recent two helped me through the last few years when our lives became a wee bit challenging. .One, without any "training", qualifies as an emotional support cat. If she's nearby and I'm saddened or upset by something, she comes running. Will start out sitting next to me, patting me with her paw. That may make me weep, but then I always feel better. By then, she's crawled onto me and is purring.
The other is quite protective. She's my bodyguard.
That's what I have learned after 28yr of having cats.

I think there will still be plenty to go around if this news gets out.
My cat is SO not standoffish - she's always following me around to make sure she's right there when I sit down so she can snuggle in my lap. When she wakes me up in the morning, it's not for food! It's for pets!

Same here. He literally watches my feet as I walk, to the point he either walks into something or gets inadvertently stepped on/kicked.
