Leo has figured out I will be traveling again, he's very possessive, and if it is only a day or two he will be mad at me when I get back, but it it is extended trip he will show me how much he missed me. I can see joy in his demeanor when I return.
I had a 5 month trip a few years ago, I wondered if my cats would forget me, at first I thought they had, but a couple of sniffs and Junior and A.J. were jumping into my arms, so rather than visual I think your scent is the que after a long separation.
Who looks after them whilst you are gone?
@FrayedBear Leo is my landlords cat, but when I'm here he spends 80% of his time with me. He was here before I got here, so for a person that travels for abut half the year it couldn't be better.

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
