Did you know that when the Vikings raided and traded across Europe and the North Atlantic, one of their most valued trade goods were ginger cats. They sold for a fortune. The reason was that at that time, the ginger colour form was a new mutation, no one had ever seen one before, and they became for a while the most valued and fashionable of pets, and the Vikings had the only breeding stock.
