In the US, the way it goes is this: Assassinations of those on the right are rare, and usually unsuccessful, that is because in those cases it truly is a lone gunman nutcase making the attempt. In assassinations of those on the left, they are way more frequent, and they usually succeed. Why? Because the publicly identified shooter is usually a patsy to provide a cover story and even when they are the real shooter, they always have help from a government agency with the hit.
