But what troubles me is the deflection of what Putin has done by asserting that a comparable concern has not been registered against other injustices. In other words, Putin should be given a ‘free pass’ because the United States, Israel or any other potential disproportionate assailant has not been sufficiently identified or castigated. As my kindergarten teacher taught us, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
