Genocides happen quite frequently in Africa but this one is different. It has gone on in the open for 8 months now, using the full force of a very sophisticated military on an industrial scale, something not seen since the Holocaust, perhaps with the exception of Cambodia and Pol Pot, which was finally stopped by communist Viet Nam. Modern technology means we are live streamed this one, it is not hidden like others.
Genocide is a crime against humanity which means it is a crime against us all. Humanity cannot allow this to happen or it will happen again at a place near you.
So don't mistake protests as pro any specific group. They are anti-genocide protests more than anything eg Palestinians have lived under apartheid for ever and we didn't see these protests then.
No-one like self declared master races carrying out final solutions. Or colonial expansion. Thought the world was over this shit.

The UK version above now needs amending for the WWII victims largely forgotten - the handicapped nka mentally & physically challenged, the Roma & Sinti, Poles, Soviet pow's, professional criminals, homosexuals & bisexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Blacks, unionists & political opponents. Post WWII that list needs adding with Cambodian educated, Ruandan Tutsi, all peoples left the legacy of land mines from USA & other countries failed wars, Iraqis, Ukrainian Russians, and now Palestinians.
