For every Assange there are at least a million unheard cases that have been hidden or destroyed.
The words of Niemöller 70 or so years ago are still relevant :

I was not a trade unionist.

The charges against Assange by Sweden for rape were dropped. There never was any evidence Assange raped these women. Which leads me to the point with placing these charges on him, secret services and governments were sick of him exposing their inhumane crimes and thus wanted to destroy the reputation of Assange and Wikileaks to damage its popularity.
