keep you eye on WA. district 8; Dino Rossi vs Kim Scheir
I'm happy to see the left finally awakened from apathy, I don't really know why it took a guy like Trump to wake them up to the fact they are in a real war with the right. The right declared war in the Clinton years and it took until Trump hit them in the face before they finally got it. This country has always been divided and the power has swung back and forth, the harder one side pushes the further it swings in the opposite direction when they go too far and lose control. They have rigged the system to the max but it only works in a close election. Being the first time people have really gotten a chance to express their anger in an election I would expect a lot of Republican defeats across the country.
I will believe it when I see it. My crystal ball shorts out every once in a while.
@Omots it would be very wierd historically for the Republicans to maintain power but they have rigged it as much as possible, even a little beyond in some states.
tell me what the MSM is so I don't get bamboozled please?
@Snickers77 thanks our MSM at hte moment the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) is losing its reputation for fairness almost completely, everyone is talking about fake news and unfair reporting of the socialist party
@jacpod only stupid people talk about the socialist party like getting medical care with turn us into Pol Pot fer chrissake
Lovely! But looking at the map, I notice "Everywhere" does not seem to include the Southeast, where I live.
Where Dems claim any upset win here, --Louisiana governor John Bell Eduards, Alabama Senator Doug Jones... they are the most moderate or even conservative of Dems.
I do not believe in crystal balls. Nothing is for certain. Gerrymandering by the GOP has been an effective tool of theirs.
except Doug Jones votes with trump so a fat lot of good that did us
@Omots that and underrepresented in the senate and electoral college
@squiggy_70 I have noticed that there is not really much difference between Democrats and Republicans in Mississippi. The same goes for Alabama. Doug Jones is covering his ass - so I am not surprised.
@Omots Gerrymandering is bad, for sure. But I am still worried about the blatant refusal of Republican leadership to actually take steps to protect voting mechanisms from hacking. They might at well be rolling out the red carpet. They just shot down any adequate funding and are leaving local voting jurisdictions hanging out to dry.
@MikeInBatonRouge that really makes me think the system is corrupt at a level I am finding hard to accept. It makes me feel powerless. I am hoping I am just guilty of me expecting the worse.
@Omots I hope so too, but I am feeling the same. :/
