Dear Mr. Clay,
Thank you for contacting me in support of H.R. 582 - Raise the Wage Act. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views on this significant issue.
On January 16th, Rep. Robert Scott (D-VA) introduced this bill, which would gradually increase the Federal minimum wage to $15 per hour over a period of five years. This bill was most recently referred to the House Committee on Education and Labor.
I am against this bill because it will inadvertently have a negative impact on people who work minimum wage jobs. An increase in the cost of producing goods made by unskilled laborers will lead to fewer products being made; and inevitably sold. This would lead to companies replacing workers with technology, which would put many citizens out of work. While we may not agree on this particular issue, it is important to me that I do my best to explain myself to my constituents, and I appreciate your concern on this extremely important matter.

I quit responding to organizations asking me to send in to my representatives on issues of my concern long ago. Or will I waste my time sending a letter to them either. They have a ready generated response to anyone who does so depending on your views. In other words, that same response goes out to anyone who sides as you do. They have an agenda for the entity, not the people. And we aren't in that club. Unless there's a massive outcry of the public, and even rarely does that work, will our representatives serve its constituents. Your participating in a system that works against you. I know that's hard to take, but it's the cold hard truth.

I don't agree with that if they think they will lose their jobs they would do the right thing
@ChrisCampbell there's nothing right going on in our governance. It's all a scam. Our country is under an illusion of perception management that most of the population is trapped in. I hope one day you'll be able to sort that out. Seeing the truth of what the world is really up against.

@Looking4-Others there ya go. Why can’t he get paid minimum wage? Is he doing anything for anyone? If not, he should do what nothing he does on a voluntary basis that is subject to suspension and removal. Damned public serpent.
