So you've got two Road Pirates on horseback, who are escorting a black man with his hands tied behind his back and a rope on his hands so he can't run away. One of the RP appears to be holding a purse in his hand. Maybe the guy is a purse snatcher and he's now on his way to a jail cell to await trial? Going by his somewhat less than Ivy League attire, I suspect that he doesn't work in a high rise office building downtown, unless it is as a janitor. Does anyone else have something to prove otherwise?

i personally would not delete that if it had been posted to show how bad things have become. if it was in a group celebrating such behavior, that would be different. freedom of speech is a legal concept and it means you can't be arrested for speaking your mind unless it's hate speech or incitement to riot or other violence (or yelling "fire" in a crowded theatre that isn't on fire). social media are not democratic countries. they're not countries at all and they're not run as democracies; they have owners and administrators and can have their own rules. private citizens on social media who run groups may have their own rules about what can and can't be in a group. we can think it's stupid or wrongheaded to remove a post but it's not censorship in the broader sense (it is in the smaller sense). that being said, i would ask from which group it was deleted, did it have comments (from the poster, as opposed to in response) with it, and what reason, if any, was given? again, if someone posted this with the comment "yeah, kill the [n-word] i'd delete it myself! if someone posted this with the comment "this is what our racist president has encouraged" i would not delete it. if someone posted this without comment, i would have to judge it in whatever context i could decipher. but none of this has to do with our being a democratic country. agnostic dot com isn't a country and no one is arresting (or firing) anyone for posting.
