How many here have had a recent blood test and been told they're "Pre-diabetic", or are now fully Diabetic? No need to ID yourself, just respond to the poll so we can see the numbers in this likely group. I was told I was pre-diabetic and surely headed for diabetes 3-years ago in May. I was Obese by any BMI chart. I Googled it and learned how debilitating, life-shortening and frightfully expensive it is. And caught early, it's reversible, so I immediately began eating right and lost 25# each year since then. I'm now almost at a normal weight, my blood sugar corrected itself in 18-months and my meds were reduced or eliminated. The Medium Tee fits me! And I have hot dates every night of the week... no, scratch that!
Pre-diabetes and even early diabetes are reversible, by YOU alone! I want to see how many need some help here and are willing to talk about it daily (just joining the site will not make you lose weight). The key is simple healthy eating with no diets, fads, pills, or programs needed. Nothing to purchase. You've already joined the only thing needed... THIS site and group. Let's talk about it here. Can we quit talking about our failures (and supporting that) and start talking only about our successes and how we did it? I've lost 75# in 36-months by eating ONLY healthy natural foods. Period. That's all. Tell us what you've done and how you did it. Can I help you? I'm not a doctor, but I can share my experience.
Started 3 years ago by simply eliminating meat, dairy and oil. That is still my mantra but now I've added intermittent fasting. I've lost about 160 lbs with about 40 to go. At 63 I haven't felt this good since Pluto was a pup. Energy to burn. I started the instant I finished watching Forks Over Knives.
WOW.... what a story! Thank you, thank you! This is some kinda record, I think, but your method seems flawless to me. Please help us introduce this to a few others who have failed to find a solution to their weight problem. This works!
Hey folks... search around online and find a site to watch "Forks Over Knives". Some may find it in a movie service you already have. Others can find it online for free if you search. It's important enough to change and maybe save your life. What would your life be like 80#, 100#, or 125# less? Pre-diabetic? You still have a small window of opportunity to avoid the diabetes bullet.
Early notification of high blood sugar allows you to take action and derail your path to diabetes! If obese you need to see your doctor about regular blood tests and switch to a healthy eating plan. It's SO easy and your body and brain will begin rewarding you for all your healthy plant-based eating. I did it!

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
