Not so good a day, went out of town to visit a friend and that sort of thing complicates eating.
Breakfast hot pocket - 320, 1/2 c chick noodle soup, southwest salad at Village Inn - 245, pc of triple berry pie at VI - 480, (well, it was free pie Wednesday, what can I say?) Watermelon - 100, 1/4 c trail mix - 150, coffee w/ milk & sugar - 40
Day came out at 1335 and I think I remembered everything. Could have been much worse, I did read VI menu with an eye on the calorie counts they print in it. In a free for all would have gone for the 2-2-2 breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 sausage or bacon, 2 pancakes. Then the pancakes would have NEEDED syrup, even if I skipped the butter. Occasionally, going beyond plan isn't a terrible thing. Just one of those things. Tomorrow till go better, promise!
Had a good day otherwise, got a new (old) fender for my old truck, it is even the same general color as my truck. Got a haircut from the stylist who used to do it when I went to Colby to work. Shopped Dillons. Love Dillons! Good to get home though. It was after 9 PM when I got here and had to unload some stuff. Have avoided getting into eating again. Hope you all had a good day.
When you have a not-so-good day the important thing is just to accept it happened and get back on track the next day. Doesn't look so bad to me, and you resisted further temptation., Well done.
Yes, off days are necessary, just not too often. In addition, your total for the day was good, just not great. Well done.
Goal <1400 calories
Oatmeal 150
Mixed vegetables 150
tamale 300
Mushroom & onion sandwich 400
Also had some banana nut bread 400
I cannot get an accurate weight on my scale.
@EdEarl I feel for you! Hate the scales when they mess with you! Much of the time mine will snap to a number and repeat it on a second try but then they will pull the indecisive maneuver, usually starting with an unsatisfactory, higher than expected number then on the second try, sometimes 4 pounds different and so there is a third try which will be somewhere in between. And, they ALWAYS come in lower then the doctor's scales. Yet, they go a long way toward controlling my life.
@EdEarl I have a neighbor who makes the same complaint about her scales. I've tested them for her and they seem to be functioning properly but she does have a little balance problem and I think she has trouble standing steady long enough for then to settle. Being digital they have to have a steady load for a few seconds to register a weight. Sometimes the old, dial type would be nice, not as precise but you could maybe see where the dial landed before it disappeared again. Good luck with it.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
