7/20/2018 - A totally TOO HOT day! Toward sunset did work on the gutters a bit. Got the last bit cleaned and ready to be sanded and painted. Have to cut it to proper length tomorrow then may bring inside to sand and avoid extended sweat producing work outside.

This is a picture of my "diet book", started on June 12, 2017 and used almost every day since. It is almost full, only about 12 days left so I have to start looking for another one soon. It is "old school" but this method of tracking has worked best for me.

Tally for today was under 1100. Made an interesting dish last night, put about a pound of pork loin, cut into strips, a sliced onion, cream of mushroom soup and <>1.5 c potato cubes in the crock pot. Cooked overnight. Tonight ate a serving of it over cooked cauliflower (instead of potatoes) and found it quite tasty.
Hope everyone's efforts are paying off. Have a great weekend.

I semi-fasted today.
Goal 500 calories

100 strawberries
050 salad
050 peanuts
100 almonds
200 peanut butter sandwich

500 total

I loose a lot of weight in water when I semi-fast, yesterday I worked outside for most of the day in 100+F weather, with my handy man. It was a sweaty day.

I'll try holding this semi-fast until my weight is about 350, which is my goal to start walking again. I can walk now, but haven't been walking much, because I'm afraid I'll screw up joints. At 350, I feel my joints are safe. It should take about 5 days. LOL after a few days on the semi-fast, a 1000 calorie day seems like a feast.

My method too. Whatever works best for you. I like the sound of your meals. Simple and tasty.

I enjoy cooking but when it is so hot, I avoid things that will take a lot of time or create a lot of extra heat. Crockpots are still a popular kitchen tool for me. I have 3 different sizes. Although not REAL diet friendly, I love cream of mushroom soup as a pour over on several things.

@DotLewis I like cream of mushroom soup over frozen mixed vegetables, as filling for a pot pie using short bread crust or as shepherd pie using potato flakes. The pot pie is better imo.

@EdEarl Good pot pie is hard to beat. I did home made once, it was delicious. Not sure why I don't make it more. When I was little we had the frozen pot pies once in a great while. They were a treat! But back then they had substance. These days only a few are worth buying, let alone eating. I do love the CoM soup over pork thought, Sear some pork chops then pour on soup and cook until tender. Yum!
Better stop talking good or I'll have to get a snack. 😉

@DotLewis Actually, I like my lintels better than the pot pie.

1 cup lintels soak four hours in water
1/2 cup carrots Julianne
1//2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup re-fried beans or pureed lintels as thickener
salt, pepper, and garlic to taste
water enough to make a thick soup

@EdEarl you are both maki thing me feel I want something to eat. It os a goid job it is the middle of the night here.

@CeliaVL I wouldn't want to deny you anything you want.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.
