30/07/2018 Diet Diary - everyone welcome
Another day of yard work but it looks like rain is finally gone for a while so tomorrow it is back to getting a gutter installed and my window sill repaired. Had senior exercise class today so some activity there as well.
Ate well today, starting with a kale smoothie for "brunch" around 1PM. Kept calories under 1100, possibly under 1000. Quit within the 8 hour time limit but better go to bed soon as I'm starting to get hungry now so better to be asleep. Worked hard at weeding mine and the neighbor's gardens, humidity was high although temps were OK and it seems to have set off some Afib. Fortunately it didn't last long. I'm still learning what kind of things will trigger it. Heat and humidity can be a problem but no consistency to that. Typically it doesn't bother me. I'm also learning to not let it freak me out as I do not want to let it control my life. I'm still hoping additional weight loss will push it even further toward a non-issue.
Additional weight loss is bound to be good, and IMO one will suffer less from heat and humidity.
Goal: consume between 1100 and 1200 calories a day indefinitely. Goal weight 200 lbs. 150 to go, 100 lost already.
Breakfast
100 potatoes
100 peanuts
100 sunflower seeds
Lunch
100 salad
250 bread n butter
Dinner
400 chili n rice
300 slice of pizza treat after exercise
Exercise
Goal: 200 steps and 1100 curls w/ 5 lbs/hand
Done: 200 steps and 1200 curls w/ 5
Today was OK, a relaxing Monday. Ate to satiate hunger, the salad was filling. It had kale, romaine, cucumber, green onion, and fresh asparagus + vinegar and oil. The bread n butter and pizza were treats, eaten for taste and the pizza to celebrate exceeding my exercise goal. It put me over my calorie goal by 150, which is not very bad. The exercise offset some of the 150.
So far today.
4.25 miles walked before breakfast.
Breakfast:
(460) 4 sausage patties
(365) 8 oz cooked bacon
(180) 2 slices of cheddar cheese
Lunch
(400) 2 cheddarwurst
(180) 2 slices of cheddar cheese
That's good. I'm looking forward to working in my garden.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
