Son woke me at 5am yesterday to see a sunrise, just as it fully cleared the horizon, a humpback breached in front of it, got home and found I have maintained my weightloss pace, so 25kg (55 pounds) in 2 and 1/2 months to the day. He then drove me inland to walk miles and climb down a gorge to see a large waterfall, then climb back so got my exercise yet this morning my weight had increased a little, Still improving in general, people are finally noticing. Not 1/2 way yet.

Good job if you went on vacation and kept on track. That's a tremendous loss for such a short time. Be prepared though, as you get leaner the rate of loss will decrease. No idea what would prompt your small increase. I get them (like .5-1.5 pounds) when I indulge in excess salt. I usually avoid stuff like chips or other salty snacks but once in a while a snack fit hits and I'll eat a serving (1/4 cup or less) of sunflower seeds in shell or I'll over salt something I fixed and the next day I will have a bounce. I have started reminding myself of this when I get in the mood for salt and try to limit the amount.

Great luck to you on your continued progress. Luck isn't really the right word because it is persistence and determination that will get you there, not luck but sounds odd to say that.

Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
